KARABELAS FARM
AN OLIVE GROVE IN THE LAND OF SPARTA

Between the mountain ranges of Taygetos and Parnonas lies the valley of Sparta.
Evrotas, the famous river, flows through this valley and reaches down to the
Mediterranean Sea.

Here, olive trees have been grown since the times of antiquity until the present day.
The particular characteristics of the valley’s microclimate, the sloping groves, the soil’s composition, and especially the glorious sun that shines all year round, provide ideal conditions for the production of exceptional quality olive oil.

The olive trees have been cultivated in the farm of Karabelas since 1880; trees that
hold the secret of Ancient Sparta for the health of body and mind; trees that carry the
scents of oregano, savory and sage.

The predominant characteristics of the farm’s olive oil are its light aromatic taste and
low acidity, produced in quantities of controlled quality.
