Olive oil soap

I N G R E D I E N T S

6 kilos left over oil (from frying)
1 kilo sodium hydroxide
1 container of water, not full (14 kilos)
1 kilo salt

Mix the oil, the sodium hydroxide and the water in a big pot and boil them for
two hours.
Then, add the salt and let the mix boil for another hour.
You can tell the soap is ready by the following technique: put a drop on you hand to see if it dries and peels off your hand, like fish scales.
When this happens, turn out the fire, add half a kilo of water and stir well.
After 15-20 minutes, sprinkle with water and pour it in a level container, like a roasting pan.
The leftover liquid should be of limited quantity.
The fewer the leftover liquid, the better the soap. This liquid is used as a wooden floor cleanser in old houses.
